Working in Deutchland!!!!

Helloooooo,

Turns out I was accepted to work on the "AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL" at Studio Soi in Ludwigsburg. I´m all packed and excited and trying my best not to forget what Ive learnt in Flash recently! I have been told a new desk has been put into the "fishtank" room ready for my arrival :)

I´ll be there for the next 8 months so I have lots of flash to learn, german to learn, culture to learn and people to meet. It´s gonna be awesome!!

Here are some sketches I did from my trip to Germany. :)

This isthe table where we had sticks of bread with jam, salami, cheese, garlic and other tasy bits on and I didn´t get as far as to finish the rendering, but doesn´t matter.

I acompanied Mel to her Kung Fu classes where I got to do some quick gesture sketches. Man I need practise, I was soo rusty, but I managed to warm up a bit and was able to capture better some of the quicker movements.
I got some sketches done while waiting in the airport for my flight back to Spain :)

I have been wondering about with my sketch book lately.

I came back on the 15th at night from a trip I took to Germany for just over a fortnight. I started in Frankfurt Hahn airport and traveled to Essen via coach and trains I met a cool Abstract artist who gave me this image. I think it looks like a face or a male torso.I got this great rubber or "eraser" from a girl I´ve been seeing. I was staying with her and her family during the stay. :)

Me feeling gloomy and looking like hell after lots of train journeys to get back to Frankfurt ariport. It was pretty cold there, snowed the first day I arrived, though not anywhere near Essen.
as sad to leave in the end. :(

Oh well, back into the frey of finding more work!!

Blacksad Cringle

For Christmas I got this amazing artbook from the very talented illustrator Juanjo Guarnido and writer Juan Dìaz Canale. It´s the "making off Black sad" book and it´s full of thumbnail paintings, drawings, scribbles, poses and all the pages of the first graphic novel in sketch format. It´s so great and inspirational for my own projects. I recomend it for all you animators/comic artists out there.
