Blacksad Watercolour

 So I didn´t lie, I was going to do more water colours and here it goes I combined water colour pracise with a contest at work.  The theme was Mystery, so I thought of my favourite two mystery crime solving duo, Blacksad and Weekly.  I love Juanjo Guarnido´s style, so I took his characters and put them into a crime scene illustration and tried to learn from how Juanjo does his illustrations. I am happy with the outcome, though I have a looong road ahead of me still.

 Also, HAPPY VALENTINE´S DAY for the 14th. In celebration I got my colleagues at work a giant box of biccies to scoff trough and another wonderfully talented colleague brought in some swiss chocs, yum yum!!

Water colour practise

While visiting my mum´s in Mallorca I decided to paint a rater interesting tree because of it´s cool bark.  Haven´t done water colours in ages, forgot ow fun they were.  I will try and keep up the practise.....he says...

 Only problem with water colours are that you don´t get any results straight away which can be very disheartening.

Shenmue the COMIC!!!! A blast from the past.

 Lately I was looking through my biiig box of drawings to trow stuff out, burn it and see if anything is worth keeping and I cam across a load of sketches that I had made when I was 13 or 14 years old.
I was and still am a big fan of the series Shenmue, which will sadly never see a conclusion.
 Here are some doodles from that I´d made based on the game. I think some of the fighting fiure are copied directly from some of the fighting scrolls in the game.

This one above is a re attempt at doing the comic a couple of years later.....I obviously got bored pretty quickly XD

 Below is the 17 page comic, man, it really is pretty bad... though I remember being very proud of my accomplishment at the time.

So I decided to watch The Little Shop of Horrors again after many years of not seeing it and to my surprise the ending was completely different to how I remembered it.  I must have seen a different version, this one was much darker in tone and somewhat more interesting! Anyway, I decided to do some doodles while waching.
