A rare glimpse of Sonic being infinitely patient for me to finish some tests before I can continue animating his short youtube vid.

Sonic animation

I needed to release some tension from work oportunities getting me down so I decided to animate something straight ahead with no planning and since I have been hyped for the new Sonic Mania game I guess I was really influenced by their new animated trailer. Doing this exercise really helped me loosen up as I am normally used to very retained animation when working traditionally. It was also very therapeutic.

We had a day off work today so I decdied to do a study of one of Lynedecker´s illustrations, but in water colour and here´s the result.

Cheetah study

I was watching this video of a cheetah running in slow motion and it appeared that the head was floating as if inmobile to the rest of the body, but after trying it out in flash clocking off the legs it appears that it does actual move up and down as one would think.  It does stay pretty still though considering the rest of the elements moving around ferociously.
